2007—Tim Shaffer /
“The Steel City Outlaw” finished 9th in World of Outlaws points. Shaffer
piloted the Lonny Parsons owned Casey’s General Stores #6 to 39 Top-10
finishes, with twenty-five of those being in the Top-5. Of Shaffer’s 25
Top-5 finishes, six were runner-up performances. The Aliquippa
Pennsylvania native won the “Crane Cams Dash” event three times and also
set quick time three times. Tim reached victory lane during the 20th
annual “Short Track Nationals” at I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas;
racing with the American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) driving the #a12 for Doc
Sloan.
2006-- Tim salvaged a twelfth-place finish in NST points after being side lined for the remainder of the season on June 23rd with a neck injury. Tim was 6th in points at the time. “The Steel City Outlaw” piloted the Lonny Parson’s owned Casey’s General Stores Maxim to 12 top 10’s, five top 5’s and one win (Dodge City Raceway Park). 2005--Tim finished 8th overall in World of Outlaws point standings. “The Steel City Outlaw” drove the Casey’s General Stores #6 / Housby / VRP shocks / Vocon / Maxim / Hoosier Tires to victory lane Four times for car owner Lonny Parsons / Parsons MotorSports. Tim recorded wins @ Thunderbowl Raceway, Lake Ozark Speedway, Lernerville Speedway, and the Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. During the season Tim recorded 39 Top-10’s with twenty one being in the top five. 2004--Tim finished 9th overall in the World of Outlaws point standings. “The Steel City Outlaw” switched from the #83 Beef Packers car to the #6 Casey’s General Stores Team on June 6th. Tim drove the Lonny Parsons owned, Parsons Motor Sports / Casey’s General Stores / Housby / Vocon / Maxim / Hoosier to victory lane @ Powercom Park Raceway located in Beaver Dam, WI. During the season Tim recorded 35 Top-10’s with thirteen being in the top five. He also earned five Quick time pole positions. 2003--Despite missing over 15 WoO races in 2003 “The Steel City Outlaw” still managed to finish 10th in points. Tim drove Dennis Roth’s #83 Beef Packers Eagle to victory lane in both the Preliminary and “A” Feature races during the J.D. Byrider Outlaw Nationals at The Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Tim also led from green flag to checkered flag in the 14th Annual 1/3 Mile Short-Track Nationals at Eagle Raceway. During the 2003 season Tim recorded 26 top-10’s and 49 top-5’s. 2002--Tim finished 5th in the World of Outlaws point standings. This was Tim's first season in the #83 Beef Packers car/team owned by Dennis & Teresa Roth. Tim had "A" feature wins at Gray's Harbor Raceway, Calistoga Speedway, and Texas Motor Speedway. During the season "The Steel City Outlaw" recorded 51 top-10's and 22 top five finishes. He also won eleven O'reilly Auto Parts Fast dash races, and set Quick time 11 times, with one being a New single lap track record at Farmer City Raceway. 2001--- (Nov 10) Tim won the "Cotton Classic" at King's Speedway in Hanford Ca. This was Tim's first race in the #83 Beef Packers car, for owners Dennis & Teresa Roth. 2001---Tim finished 8th in World of Outlaw points. He won at, Terre Haute, Portland, Williams Grove and Lowe's Motor speedway. He had 17 top five finishes, 38 top ten finishes, and was the Fast Qualifier 6 times. 2000 -- 12th place finish in World of Outlaw points. Three wins at Eldora Speedway, Chico, CA and Texas Motor Speedway. 6 top five finishes and 23 top ten finishes. 1999 --Tim wins the Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year Award. He finished 9th in the World of Outlaws point standings. Tim began driving David Helm's #11H Vivarin Eagle in mid-July 1998 and Finished 17th in the World of Outlaws Series point standings that Year. Tim finished sixth, while winning three "A" features with the All-Stars Circuit of Champions in 1996. Tim captured a victory at the King of the Hill Race at Grandview Speedway in 1995 . Tim shared All-Stars Rookie of the Year Honors with Dale Blaney while finishing 10th in points in 1994 . Tim was victorious at the Lernerville Speedway Track Championship in 1993. Tim won the Busch Shootout, a series run between Lernerville Speedway and Pennsylvania Motor Speedway in 1993. |
